Tranquil

Will Tranquil Help You Sleep Better?

Some of us have a love hate relationship with our beds.  We love it when we get a great night’s sleep and hate it when we don’t.  When you live with a sleep disorder you cringe when you think about going to bed.  It is not the most enjoyable time of the day in fact in can turn into a nightmare.  Women are twice as likely to suffer from a sleep disorder and half of women over 65 years old get disrupted sleep.  They say that people over 65 years old make up 13% of the United States population but consume over 30% of prescription drugs and 40% of sleeping pills.  When you think about the numbers that is a lot of people suffering from sleep disorders.  That is why you are constantly seeing new sleep aids popping up all over the place.  Pharmaceutical drugs are available but most of them can be habit forming and leaves you feeling groggy when you get up in the morning.  There is another avenue that keeps growing and expanding and that is the natural herbal supplement market.  Most people want something that is not habit forming and it makes you feel refreshed when you get up in the morning.  Herbal supplements make sense and with so many of us being health conscious these days it seems like the mostly likely choice.  There are many herbal supplements available to choose from and trying to figure out which ones are the best can be mind numbing so that is why reviews are crucial.  One of these products to look at is Tranquil.  It claims that you can fall asleep whenever you want and wherever you want.  You will naturally awake when you want to feel refreshed and ready to face the day.  It claims you can fall asleep faster, in 15 minutes or less.  Now let’s see if this is one that can be of benefit to you.

Tranquil Ingredients and Research

Tranquil has three main ingredients in its formula.  This includes:

  • 5-HTP—this is a neurotransmitter that helps increase serotonin. Serotonin is used for depression but some researchers say too little is known about this and should be declared unsafe until more research is done.
  • Melatonin—this is a hormone that regulates your wake sleep cycle
  • L-Theanine—this is found in green tea and it said to have a calming effect on you

This formula has some of the common ingredients used in other herbal supplements but there are no results from any clinical trials.

Tranquil Side Effects

Some side effects that can be associated with this product are dizziness, headache and heart palpitations.

Tranquil Value

This sleep aid product is found for around $31.95 for 60 tablets.  Not a great deal when you consider that you have to take 2 tablets at bedtime.

Tranquil Bottom Line

Tranquil does not have a lot of information readily available which is always a concern.  There doesn’t seem to have anything special that makes it stand out from some of the others.  This is does not seem to be as “tranquil” as you might think.  It is rather pricey too.  There are more natural herbal supplements around that might be better for you and I would recommend you check out Sleep-aids.com and see what they advise you to try.
