SuperSleep by Webber Naturals

SuperSleep by Webber Naturals Review:

SuperSleep by Webber Naturals SuperSleep by Webber Naturals is sold at Costco, so I already like it. Really, when have you ever been disappointed by something you bought at Costco?

Even if you don’t end up loving their products at least you got them at a bargain. To avoid overly promoting Costco (which I am probably guilty of already), let’s get down to business.

SuperSleep by Webber Naturals is a simple sleeping pill. It is not the most powerful product out there, but it is safe and effective for most people.

SuperSleep by Webber Naturals Ingredients:

The ingredients in SuperSleep by Webber Naturals include:

  • 100mg -Theanine (L-glutamic acid gamma-monoethylamide) (L-glutamine)
  • 15 mg – 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) (Griffonia simplicifolia) (seed)
  • 1.5 mg – Melatonin

Melatonin is the better known (and most effective) of the three. It is produced in the pineal gland and it control your body’s circadian rhythm (sleep/wake cycle). The theory behind most sleep aids is the more melatonin in your blood the sleepier you will become. This is true for the most part (although studies show that 3 mg of melatonin is actually more effective at promoting sleep than 20 mg).

The other nice thing about melatonin is that it helps your body fall asleep naturally. It is not a foreign drug that “knocks you out.” It ought to simply adjust your body’s sleep cycle so that you can get to sleep faster and easier. It is great for jet lag and dealing with nightshifts. But, true insomniacs often find that melatonin, by itself, isn’t powerful enough.

Theanine is a relaxant and mild sedative. It should amplify the effect melatonin has.

5-HTP comes from the chemical tryptophan (famous for being in turkey) and when it is ingested it is converted into serotonin which is eventually converted into melatonin. So having it along with melatonin is a bit redundant. Ideally you would want something that worked in a different pathway or through another mechanism to promote sleep.

SuperSleep by Webber Naturals Side Effects:

SuperSleep by Webber Naturals is very safe when compared to other sleep aids. They do include the following warning:

These may include, but are not limited to, L‑tryptophan, S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe), St. John’s wort, antidepressants, pain killers, over‑the‑counter cough and cold medication containing dextromethorphan, anti-nausea medication and anti-migraine medication.

  • If symptoms persist continuously for more than 4 weeks (chronic insomnia), consult your physician.

Overall Value:

A twin pack (totaling 180 pills or 3 month’s supply) of SuperSleep by Webber Naturals costs $39.99. That boils down to about $13 per month which is a solid deal. There are more complete and powerful sleep aids out there (see our top rated products), but SuperSleep by Webber Naturals gives you good bang for your buck.
