Sleepees

Will Sleepees Help You Sleep Better?

A closer look at this sleep aid supplement gave some very interesting results.  It is quite amazing to examine the sleep aids that are available for the consumer.  There are so many sleep aids on the market, many that are good quality and ones that are poor quality.  Searching for the right one is worth the time to find out if what you are taking is something that will give you the results you desire.  I know I want one that will give me a good night’s sleep and make me feel refreshed when I wake up in the morning.  There is nothing more miserable that getting up in the morning and feeling like you never slept a wink! My quest for information on Sleepees was informative and well worth the time and effort to know what it may have to offer.  Sleepees is an herbal supplement that claimed to help treat insomnia symptoms.  Sleepees even said you could lose weight and get a good night’s sleep too!!  Now that would be amazing if that could really happen.  But what is in it and what did it use to have in it?

Sleepees Ingredients and Research

Sleepees originally was formulated with estazolam in it.  Estazolam is a drug that is a benzodiazepine derivative.  This drug is used in Valium and can be very habit forming and addictive in a very short period of time.  It is a hypnotic drug that is used as a sedative and anxiety property.  In 2007 it was recalled in Canada.  In fact, the Health Canada Advisory was issued and it stated that consumers should not use Sleepees because it has estazolam in it and it is habit forming.  So a recall was done on the product between December 2006 and March 2007.  After that was issued the company took out the drug estazolam from their formulary for Sleepees.

The main ingredients in this sleep aid are listed:

  • JuJue Date—it says it may relieve sleeplessness
  • Siberian Ginseng—it is said to increase alertness and improve memory
  • Shisandra—purports to treat depression and insomnia
  • Hops—known to help with sleeplessness and nervousness
  • Reishi Mushroom—claims it helps to counteract the effects of stress and anxiety
  • Red Sage—claims to calm nerves
  • Helicidum—a sedative
  • Mother of Pearl—helps reduce irritability

Sleepess Side Effects

There appears to be no known side effects associated with Sleepees

Sleepess Value

After looking long and hard on the internet it appears that Sleepees is no longer sold on their manufacturer’s website and anywhere else on the internet.

Sleepess Bottom Line

Sleepess was a supplement that had problems from the beginning of its inception.  Being recalled was an obvious RED flag for this product.  Even after taking this drug out of the formulary it does not seem to have many ingredients that have a real effectiveness dealing with insomnia.  When a product is not on the market and their own website is not selling the product it seems that you can draw the conclusion that the product is no longer being manufactured and no longer available.  It is recommended that you check out Sleep-aids.com to see what they advise to take for a sleep aid.
