Rescue Sleep
Will Rescue Sleep help you Sleep Better?
Rescue Sleep is a somewhat curious sleep-aid product that comes in the form of a liquid herbal mix. It claims to be based on the “philosophies of Dr. Edward Bach” and the formula was apparently developed 70 years ago. Personally, I think it would be a little more convincing if they claimed it were based on “science” rather than “philosophy”. Recent studies have shown Bach’s homeopathic philosophies to be no more effective than placebos.
Rescue Sleep Ingredients and Research
The “totally natural” ingredients include
- Rock Rose for terror and panic
- Impatiens for irritation and impatience
- Clematis for inattentiveness
- Star of Bethlehem for shock
- Cherry Plum for irrational thoughts
- White Chestnut for relief from repetitive thoughts.
As for research on the effects of these ingredients, no clinical studies support their claimed effects.
Rescue Sleep Side Effects
No adverse side effects are indicated.
Rescue Sleep Value
Each little bottle of herbal essence is .7 fluid ounces (20 ml) and goes for about $14. This is very low value considering 27% of it is alcohol anyway.
Rescue Sleep Bottom Line
There is no scientific basis for this product and it’s way too expensive per ounce. I do not recommend Rescue Sleep remedy.
