When you can’t sleep at night it hits at the worse time possible, like say your wedding night. Of course some are worse than others. Midnite contains melatonin which does have that effect; it is a lesser dosage then other comparable dietary sleep aides, so this will help some. If you were to take this at nine or ten you’d be fine to wake up refreshed eight hours from then. If you took it later after midnight you would still feel an after effect in the morning. Unfortunately the point of this aide is to take it when you unexpectedly can’t sleep, which would mean it would be early in the morning or very late at night.
