Donormyl

Will Donormyl help you Sleep Better?

If you’ve ever had NyQuil, you’ll know that some antihistamines tend to get you drowsy.   For me personally, it has helped me get to sleep a little sooner but I usually wake up very “out of it”.  The same sedating ingredient in NyQuil, doxylamine succinate, is the primary ingredient in Donormyl.

Donormyl Ingredients and Research

Doxylamine succinate was primarily developed for use in anti-allergy and cold symptom treatment.  The research shows it is consistently effective for most people in this respect, but has not been studied in-depth as for its effectiveness strictly as a sleep- aid.

Donormyl Side Effects

The drowsy feeling people experience when using doxylamine succinate can sometimes last until morning, making waking up and “getting going” hard to do in the morning.

Donormyl Value

This product comes in bottles of 96 tablets of 25 mg each.  For $40 this is fairly good value on a per-night basis, but extended use of this product is unlikely to provide the kind of quality sleep that makes for a healthy experience.

Donormyl Bottom Line

Though the price is reasonable, I generally don’t recommend this product unless you are experiencing  severe insomnia, in which case you probably shouldn’t use it for 96 nights.  Thus, you’re forced to buy more than you really need.
